Please show how and where you ran your fuel lines and mounted your filters. Hoping to do it once. Thanks! Jason
Well, trying to minimize my return. Correct me if I am wrong, but my filter was close to the engine. I want to run it near the tank.
On several of my cars I mounted the filter right next to the tank pick up. I like to mount a filter before the fuel pump. Electric near the tank, mechanical on the front frame rail before the pump. Forgot to add, another filter before going to the carb. Using the Mopar style tin can filters,3/8''. A bit overkill but works for me.
Thanks for the reply. I have a new tank with an internal tank, running a corvette filter to regulate pressure. Should have stated that from the start.......
My line is in the stock location with an external electric pump with filter. Main difference from stock is that it is one 3/8 piece of EFI nylon 12 with no fittings between the pump and carb except for the return line T'd off at the carb and I turned it up in the corner of the inner fender and the firewall and wrapped it with a split section of heater hose where it passes the headers, then from there in that upper corner to the carb and return teed off there with a restrictor in the return line to give the pounds of pressure needed to the carb. Sorry, no currently available pics around.
This is a good thread, ordered my fuel system parts this morning after lots of reading. Thanks for everyone's input! Steve
Sorry to be a pain in the butt but would anybody have a full picture of the fuel line locations I'm just rebuilding a car from scratch doing a frame-up restoration
I dont have one photo that shows the whole routing, but this is where the line runs if that helps Jim
I run twin 1/2'' tin can filters behind the tank , (two fuel outlets) before the fuel inj. pump. I`m jealous of that HEMI !!
RealWing shows the factory routing. FWIW, I bought a new 3/8" steel line from Inline Tube that will replace the stock diameter 5/16" on my 68 cuda. Warmed up 5.7.
