I know this has been talked to death, and I'm aware of my options having done research (here and all over), but what is this one from Mancini Racing?

MRE - A Engine Mechanical Fuel Pump
MRE - A Engine Mechanical Fuel Pump

Same pump, just one chrome, one black. Their part number MRE6270 makes it seem like is the Carter M6270, but they don't specify brand and it's clearly different with different specs. Plus it's a lot cheaper at $87 vs $200. It has 6 PSI which will not require a regulator, and my 4150 Holley should be happy with that too, and it has 1/4 NPT ports. My concern is the 80 GPH vs the Carters 6270 (and the highly desired but no longer available 6902) that are 120 GPH. But is that really a big deal for a 400HP small block? Going by this article, Mechanical Fuel Delivery for Mopar LA Engines, seems it's the same as many others at that flow rating.

Unless these are some cheap knock off of the Carter but I would hope Mancini would sell quality. I've emailed them to see what they can tell me about it.

Thanks

Make sure they also offer service (rebuild) kits for them.

A 300 hp engine uses 25gal/hr; should include a safety margin of 20-50%. Fitting a huge pump to an engine that doesn't need the fuel.....will just wear out the pump faster.

Mechanical Fuel Pump - Chrysler SB Compatible 273-360 - 2 Valve - 80 GPH and 6 psi

The one in your link looks identical to the china pumps sold by top street and many others. Down to the point they offer black and chrome.

Ours are made by a huge fuel pump mfg in South Korea. Not China. They supply many oems still today in carbed industrial, marine and foresty. We use it to 475 hp all the time. Can't say I have ever seen a mopar version come back.

Yes our pics suck...lol I asked them to re shoot it this morning. But I assure you, it's not the top street pump. If you PM Me an email, I will get ya some better pics before they update the website.

Does Blueprint offer a rebuild kit for that pump?
ya know, thats a good question. I looked to see if holley or edelbrock offer one (because it looks about the same), and couldn't see they did. Carter had a few in the $30-40 range, which on a $66 pump probably doesn't make a bunch of sense. I could get ya one, but within a year, it's under warranty. after that, I'd probably be better just to sell ya one at cost or something.
