So went to swap back to my original sending unit from the inaccurate reman that I got from yearone and noticed that there was no filter/strainer on the end of it. 1) has anyone got one from yearone before with nothing on the end of the tube? There are no whiteness marks or anything that even suggests one was there in the first place. This unit has been in the car for just short of two years. 2) do I need to get on to put back on the original sending unit? It’s going back into a fuel tank that has only been on the car as long as the new sending unit was. If I do need one which one do you guys recommend buying and from where? Having a hard time find one that looks like the leftover of one I found on the old sending unit when I took it out the old tank.

I got one from 521(i think) It works good. You have to push it ALL the way in .

If the last sender had a filter and now it does not it is probably in the tank. Probably will not cause any issues.

You should have one to prevent dirt and such from getting into the fuel pump.

As to which one, ???? Just be sure it has a good interference fit.

521 RESTORATION. is a good outfit. He is a neighbor of mine.

Sender is out... fish the missing screen out of the tank! .. and YES Jeff is a great guy to deal with!
