Fuel tank/ sending unit

I am putting a 440 in my 71 Demon tribute A Body, I am replacing the gas tank, my question is should I keep the same size fuel sending unit or go with a different size?

My guess is the factory did not increase the size 5/16" tube. Check the 69 parts book.

If you have a functioning OEM sender use it. The aftermarket units are junk when it comes to accuracy

If you have 600 HP and 2x4 bbl maybe up size?

Also save the fuel tank lock ring the new ones do not seal right.

Modify yours to 3/8".

Go with 3/8, you need the line, sending unit and new filter and bigger fittings on your fuel pump. I just did this to my 383 Swinger all in under $200.
