i have this neighbor who lives across the street from me shes 83 and is starting to show her age i am no where near there, and since i keep an open schedule, she asks me for help from time to time well, today, she called me and asked me if i could run her up to CVS to get a booster shot i said, sure, no problem, i was heading into town later today anyway as i hung up the phone, to absurdity of this situation struck me she decided to call me, probably the most unmasked unvaxced person on out street to run her up to get a booster i really got a chuckle out of that
So where I work, they’re giving away a new 2021 F150, but to be in the drawing you have to be vaxd. I haven’t gotten the vax, so I’m not eligible. Ironically two of our other techs, who have been vaxd, have both gotten the COVID anyways. Both times, while the vaxd, yet infected techs stayed home on quarantine, I was asked to cover their shifts. They’re still eligible, I am still not. Ironic much? I worked everyday through this pandemic, while most techs and all machine operators got paid to stay home. I haven’t been vaxd, I haven’t been sick at all, I haven’t collected quarantine pay or unemployment, yet they still feel the need to blast me and a few other of us younger guys who choose not to get the vax. Clown world.
I haven't missed a day of work since this whole bullshit started except for my vacation days and a couple of scheduled days. One of my co-workers has been off twice in forced quarantine for 2 weeks each time, even though he tested negative both times, he said he had a cold, nothing more, and another one was forced into quarantine once. Haven't had so much as a sniffle in the last 5 years or more.
H1N1 flu in 2009.....Our employer made a policy that anyone with "flu like" symptoms could stay home, fully paid, and it would not be counted towards a person's sick day bank. I missed that boat, but there sure were a lot of folks with "flu like" symptoms........ And lots of overtime
A family friend has two boys in middle school, they go to different schools. The older boy was not feeling good, so mom had the boys tested last week. The older boy tested positive for Covid while the younger did not, mom also got tested and nothing, (she was forced the shot in the early stage of shots by the health care place she works). So mom called the schools to inform them. The older boy is out for 10 days, and once his 10 days are up, the younger boy will have to be out 14 days. Mind you the younger boy is currently in school, while the older is out.
No thanks I simply support her right to make her own choice, while staying sovereign in mine aint that the truth she knocked on my door last week and said she had some money issues then she handed me a check and asked if i could cash it for her (of course, i couldnt because she doesnt have an ID) she must think im trustworthy
Agreed you have the god given right to make your own decisions. No questions, no doubt. But when your decisions affect the decisions and lives around people as a rule get a little pissed at that. The same reason for dunk driving laws, murder laws, and many others. I got the shots because I was selfish, I knew even though I was vaxed I could still get covid but I also knew that my chances of dieing from it are greatly reduced and they allow me a little pre covid normalcies. My opinions
Well said Ahoey. You may not realize you have the virus but you could be a carrier and spreading it around
I agree. Russian roulette, 1 in 6 chances of ending up dead, 16.66% Chances of dying from COVID .3% Russian roulette bad.
thischit right here really irks me. Since you didn't include the Lol, I have to assume you are being serious; in which case, ............. I'm irked.
Did you tell her that you were unvaxed and she was risking her health and let her make a decision, or just think it was funny... In my book hundreds of thousands of dead people and the grieving families left behind can't actually be funny...
Death's a bitch, but part of the reason people are freaking out over a 2% death rate is because society is so disconnected from one of the three things that unites all of us. Those folks were going to die some day, any way, and a huge percentage of them were not soccer stars anymore. You can die getting out of bed, and it's probably best to accept it and appreciate life instead of living in fear of death.
Did I tell her in that conversation? Nope Have I told her that before? Yep I am sure she knows I don't trust the vaccine
Ok, but I think they are going to agree with me that Russian Roulette is bad and are probably not freaked out about it. You got their numbers?
Sure isn't. But neither is the BS being fed to us. And are the numbers real? I'm not saying Covid is a hoax, but it's been played for advantages since the get go (Pfizer's 37 Billion in profit last quarter). Those who questioned the vaccine from the beginning are seeing the truth come around much closer to what they thought (low efficacy rates, insufficient protection, multiple boosters) vs what the people in fear claimed would happen (death like we've never seen before) But those people are still being blamed for the new cases. There's no actual way to prove that, but it's easy to spread that message. Plenty of vaccinated people getting Covid, so all those cases are because of someone without the vaccine? Where's the logic? Did they do in depth studies of everyone's behavior and whereabouts, with precise interaction documentation? Point is, unless you literally live in a bubble, most people have no clue who got them sick, when or where. I don't tell anyone what to do, and I hope they wouldn't tell me what to do.
