Has anyone used the 2.5 in lift rear leaf springs from general springs if so what are the pros and cons ie
1) did it actually raise the back 2.5 inches
2) what is the ride comfort level and so on
Does anyone have any pictures with these installed?
Here is my planned tire and rim setup 15x8 cragar ss with 4.25 backspace and 235/60 tires but I have some concerns with the tire rubbing on the inner fender lip unless I get some sort of lift.
Any help or advice will be appreciated, thanks

Depends on your car?? rear wheel openings are different
If my memory serves me right,
My 70 dart swinger 340 when I bought it in 1978 had cragar 8" 4.25bs with G60x14" National Renegade tires and cragar 6" 3.75bs with E60x14 on front [still have 'em]
Car had the extended rear shackles and gabriel hi jackers air shocks with shock extenders.
I had to pump them up to around 120+ in order for the rear qtr lip to clear the tires. Also bent the lip up a little as a low speed turn the lip would kiss the side wall.
Nailing 1st gear [4sp] would also kiss the tire sidewall but it wasn't till I fabbed up an adjustable pinion stop to 1/2-3/4" floor clearance that stopped tire kisses on launches. The car handled as if on rails. Original springs and street runs.
[not condoning street runs]
Here in PA back in 70's 80's we had 6 month inspection intervals--had to swap out to oem tires and lower the rear of the car to get it inspected. hope this helps

Just installed a set of the General +2.5 springs. I can’t get the shackles to flip backwards. Springs are resting on the trunk pan. If I can figure this out they Will definitely raise the vehicle for my 15x10’s to fit with 275/60

When you figure it out, please post pictures. I am wanting to do something similar with my Duster.

8" wide wheels was the problem. 7" wide just barely fit.

Had to extend the shackles to get it to work. I also added a spacer to the rear mount, as the previous owner relocated the springs and the rear mounts we’re about 1/2 further back from stock.

I am putting mine on tomorrow so hopefully it will go smoothly as there has not been any modifications to the original suspension. The stance you have is what I am looking for old, school.guy *** in the air. Thanks for the update and pictures.

Those are the general springs that I have on my car, they've been on a few years so I can't remember all the particulars but I know I had to change out the eye bolts to a different size but no other real modifications that I remember. I run 275-50-15s on 8-in rims but it's very tight
This is The stance you can expect.
