Skipped the Light Fandango
Any gold members here who have never owned an A body?
I ended up here looking for 225 slant info and it abounds. Also, I have 5.2 and 5.9 Magnums in my Jeeps and there is a lot of info on that too. I realized there are some true Mopar badasses here, so I learned quickly to stay out of the technical threads unless I have some obscure info to offer. I'm a shadetree hack.
Never owned an A body, but my old man had a mid 60s Valiant, '67 I believe with a slant. Not sure what size. He hated that thing, 'no power' he was always saying when trying to pass. He traded it in for a 69 Coronet w/318 and was happy once again. The dealer tried to talk him into a more powerful motor, but he thought the 318 was enough. In retrospect, that dealer attempted to do him a huge favor. Before the Valiant, I recall a big boat-sized Dodge with fins and a push button transmission, but I was too young to recall any other details.
