i have a 70 340 duster that has a 750 holley dp on it, torker intake, it has a very lopey cam, but not sure of the specs. 4 speed trans.
i am wondering if the 750 is too big for the engine? i have just installed a blaster coil, msd 6al, new fuel pump and guages. but my carb leaks fuel. so now it is time to get another. any suggestions.

i will / do drive this car every single day in the summer........ well, let me rephrase that. i will drive it everyday that i am able to without snow being on the ground.lol so please take that into consideration. there are no 1/4 tracks near me, so i am not worrying about racing it
i want it to be trouble free and fast.lol

The 750 will work fine.

I'd get rid of that Torker intake, especially if it's the early torker340... It's a pile IMHO. Put a LD340, RPM or Air Gap on it and it will run better and be faster with one of those intakes.

You might could just fix the fuel leaks and save a bundle on a new carb and yes a dual plane intake would be better for street driving

What cam and gear ratio?

A 750 is fine for the engine size and "Lumpy" cam, though specs of the cam are really a big key in this question along with gear ratio and tire size.
A 650 is OK as well. The smaller carb isn't a bad idea if your mostly street driving. (90%) It will improve throttle response and not give up alot on HP.

I would do a double pumper again. Absoultely a double pumper with a manual trans.

I also agree that a dual plane is most likely a better intake to use. Crackedback make good suggetions. An LD340 can be picked up for about slightly half of the RPM air gap price. And I would use a 4 hole spacer under it of about an inch.

tires are like 235 60 14 in the rear, with 3:55 gears.
