No I was cleaning up parts getting them ready for the interior and getting the grill in lights all scrubbed up and ready to go... I actually took these corny lights off the front bumper and tried to get that minor twist out of the bumper and I think I got about 80% of it out it wasn't too bad to begin with...

That is a before picture of the bumper...

that condenser is not purposed the same as a points and condenser. Yes, you can run it off the coil. In fact, a lot of them have it mounted under the coil mount on the intake.

Thank You for taking the time for that. You made it easy on me. Now to have Matt buy some mat!

I got Brian's control arm on the Valiant and we were going to align it, but right as we were getting ready to put the wheel back on, I noticed the control arm bracket is cracking. Of course the mig is out of wire. At least I caught it before it became a problem. I will pick up some wire on the way home from work this evening and make up some gussets tomorrow, then Brian can weld them in his next day off.

Then back to Matt's truck......we hope!

Yes this is how it's mounted under the coil on the intake, but the one that I have is for mounting in the distributor and it doesn't have that fork hanging off of it like the one that's there now and of course the wire broke right at the condenser... I wasn't sure if it needed to be grounded or I can just put it on there and let it dangle...

yes, your ballast resistor controls the right amount of resistance for the coil/spark.

no it's not important I don't even think the radio is hooked up. It had an aftermarket radio attached underneath the dash that I took out.. I would have thought if I searched long enough I may have one in my junk pile as well LOL but if it becomes important I'll certainly hit you up.. and thank you!!..

Well sure enough I go to AutoZone and they only have one seal and it clearly says a pair on their computer and on the ad. So the manager ordered another "pair" and said if two don't come I will just give you both of the ones that I do have..... again we'll see...

Well the second package came and it still had one seal in it. but I talked to the manager and he said he is going to give me both. he tried to blame it on the employee but really he ordered the second one so I don't know what he was talking about. He tried to go on about how he talked to some district manager and seals ment it was an inside seal and outside seal that that didn't make sense either.. anyways I got both of the seals..

I took the truck on its first test drive today and the brakes work good the power steering work good the clutch shuttered a little bit.. I had an exhaust leak that was quite annoying coming from the back passenger side.. at first I thought it was maybe like a lifter or something but I could actually feel the wind coming from underneath.. when I checked the driver side I could almost feel something on the front number one exhaust as well.. turns out it was the gaskets were too big.. I went down to the parts store and got a different set of gaskets and it looks like they will work. More material near the bottom of the end exhaust ports..

                 .. we'll see what happens..

Exhaust leak fix no problem. Now I just went to the Pick-n-Pull to see if I could find any other parts that I needed. I need a shift Boot and I need a hose that goes from the cowl to the blower motor for the heater. Lo and behold right there by the entrance of the scrapyard was a 77! Had the hose, had a windshield washer box that I wasn't going to get, but I got it and a fan shroud that I didn't have. I actually found a shift Boot and a little console piece out of a Dakota that I might try and see if I can't make work..

That little arts and crafts and just a little nip nip and now a Dakota boot fits in there perfectly. Also if it ever had to be replaced there's a replaceable part not the original boot which can't be found.. IMG_20200119_121145.jpg

I had to reread that because I was pretty sure I said I got it... For the blower motor hose the fan shroud the boot and I went ahead and got the console part around the boot with the little rubber pad but I ended up throwing away and not using it..
And the windshield washer bottle with the motor which I tested and works for $42 but I'm a rewards member and its 40% off everything for members this weekend so it was like 26 bucks for everything...

I'm sure it's an LA 360 or at least it looks like one it's a four-wheel drive 77... I think it still 40% off tomorrow as well I feel like grabbing a few more things...

Cool. Those bottles are hard to find in good condition. Glad you snagged it.

Yeah I think I might load up the tools and get down there in the morning and see if I can get a few more things. If I can get the timing cover for 10 bucks I'll get it..
