If it has the Black ECU with the gold heat sink like the one on your truck, grab it if it’s cheap. They are hard to find these days and very much in demand.

      I'm pretty sure it was a 77..
I looked on the inventory and it's not on there yet. Again that was kind of at the front of the yard where it shouldn't be..

If you grab it, I would be willing to buy it from you if you want to sell it.

I want a spare for my ‘69 GTS. I have a good vintage orange box on her now, but I don’t have a spare. Would like to have one.

The last aftermarket spare I had died while I was reserving the old Orange box.

Thanks anyway, that one has the silver heat sink so it is aftermarket and not what I was looking for.

I appreciate you checking it out.

I know I have pictures in the thread "more purposeful truck' that I gave to my son.. I don't know if I'll have anything but a done and here's how it looks picture as there's really nothing to it but taking the four 1/2 inch nuts off the seat and walking it out and the four screws out of the thresholds... Throw the molded carpet in there and trim the edges and maybe make a hole for the shifter.. I come from underneath and poke the four holes for the seat and then reverse spoke them so the screwdriver is sticking up and as I pull the seat and I can pull the screwdriver out. Maybe make a small one in X cut where the holes are so the seat drops right in.. really absolutely nothing to it. However me personally I would not put the vinyl back in as that's what rusted the floorboards out in the first place... It couldn't breathe and then people get the idea that they can hose there floorboards out and make it worse.. its biggest enemy though is bad door seals that let water in... noticeable floorboards are rusted out from the inside and the undercoating is still just fine... The carpet at least allows it to breathe and dry out and in my opinion looks way more plush.. it gives it more of a cozy comfortable feeling in the cab instead of harsh and hard.. but that's just personal preference..

I can't stand a shuttering clutch. I was actually surprised you just didn't install one while it was apart. I know you are trying to hold down the money, but the fact that it was right there …...

I thought he did...kinda? Lol I was pretty sure he swapped the one that came with the truck for one that he had leftover from the duster, hoping it had some life left in it. I could be mistaken though!

Time to resurface the flywheel, new pressure plate and disk to do it right.
It's a truck, made to haul, we don't need no stinking slipping clutch.

You're right I did put a new throw out bearing and and a pretty good clutch desk that was in much better condition than the original.. it's going to be a big enough pain to take the transmission out again from underneath the car and put this in with the bellhousing on... I'm not going to resurface the flywheel that's just going too far and not necessary.. I'm leaving that heavy bastard right where it sets... I learned you can't undo the bellhousing from the engine because it will not slip over the flywheel.. I did get more things sorted out today.. I got a new gas cap that now seals instead of splashing gas out.. I went into my spare parts and got a turn signal clicker that actually holds on the right hand turn instead of having to hold it turn the steering wheel and shift at the same time which is really a pain with a stick shift.. well I had the wheel off I pulled the dash cluster out to get an idea of why the speed of all of a sudden wasn't working.. it was working when I drove the truck home.. and ended up just being not plugged in to the transmission correctly.. put the exercise wasn't in vain as there wasn't enough correct screws in the dash cluster and I took all the ones out of my spare one and put all the correct screws in there... also like I said these are Les Schwab Tires so I took it to Les Schwab and have them are them up and they said the fronts were low... It seems like the more I drive it the better it's running also..
So now I have to pull the seat out anyways put the carpet kit in and at that point I can take the dog house in the shifter out and do the clutch first and then put the carpet kit in and I think this truck will be 100% dialed.. for now I will drive it to work tomorrow...

The flywheel is your chatter, bite the bullet and have it surfaced.

Having it resurfaced is easy.. hosting that damn thing up in there and getting it lined up and getting it torque is the whole problem. I could see where the pressure plate was skidded up on half of it and not the other half.. I kind of have a hard time thinking that that big steel flywheel got warped?..
