Grille badge on some 63 Valiants, not others - why?

It is a signet thing. Those signers without have been changed. In 50 years a lot of changes have happened.

If I had a signet, i would remove the grille badge because it makes the grille look cluttered. Many others probably did the same.

Doing a little more research.... looks like the Signets got the badge while V-100s and V-200s did not, at least according to the catalog, which would have been done in advance of production so at least that was the original idea. Maybe later they started putting them on all, or people just swapped them on or off.

My Signet originally had the grille badge. I replaced the original grille with NOS when re-doing the car. The new grille didn't have the badge, so I cut a hole in the center of it (to match the original Signet grille) and put the original badge back in.

They must have change in 64. Mine is not a Signet and has the emblem.

Is this a Canadian Valiant?

C-Pillar and backlights like a Dart....

I know only 63 Valiants with this kind of C - Pillar and horizontal backlights.
