I've spun bearings, and drove until it seized before. Didn't sound like that.
Rod usually sounds when let off gas. But you know what cylinder.
Main is deep, when on the gas.
You got to know- before pulling the engine; pull the valve cover and check, spinning over by hand.
If that is a rod, the whole bearing is in the sump. Don't think so.
Never heard a rod bearing make that racket, check up-top first.
