Guess the knocking noise

-
I've spun bearings, and drove until it seized before. Didn't sound like that.
Rod usually sounds when let off gas. But you know what cylinder.
Main is deep, when on the gas.
You got to know- before pulling the engine; pull the valve cover and check, spinning over by hand.
If that is a rod, the whole bearing is in the sump. Don't think so.
Never heard a rod bearing make that racket, check up-top first.

My guess is a couple of bent valves creating too much clearance or a fried roller rocker. Keep us updated.

wow, autox, now yours really sounds like a KNOCK

You wanna hear a rod knock, you got one there. Textbook stuff. Not much guessing on that one!!

The original poster should pull spark plug wires one by one like we did and see if one or some make more noise with no spark. All the rod bearings will not go all at once equally. One or a couple will fail first.
