I think there is a version of that saying in each branch of the armed forces, isn’t there? It's always been a comforting feeling, knowing you go to battle or work...armed with the low-bid protection.
Not yet but I’m trying to find a xp100 I can afford in 6BR or 7BR to play with. Doubt I’ll go much further than 400 yards with it, which I consider on the short end of long range, depending on what the target is.Does anyone on here shoot bolt action long range specialty pistols?
Exactly that! Hah! Well said. It's always been a comforting feeling, knowing you go to battle or work...armed with the low-bid protection.
Correct, well except for Air Force!I think there is a version of that saying in each branch of the armed forces, isn’t there?
I love the XP100, that pistol was just way ahead of its time. But man they are a sexy beast! Not yet but I’m trying to find a xp100 I can afford in 6BR or 7BR to play with. Yes, the XPs have gotten to be kind of hard to find and expensive when found. Take a look at the Kauger Black Widow.....pretty cool. Not yet but I’m trying to find a xp100 I can afford in 6BR or 7BR to play with. Are you just trolling me? Trying to see if I can still type while drooling? I am greener than the wizard of oz witch with envy! Hah! Nice rig for sure! This is the latest platform I've decided to play with. Gonna make one 9mm and SBR it.
It's amazing, how light-weight and simple these are.

That’s cool, I too teach hunters Ed for game and fish here in my State. Thanks for being there! That is just a great class to teach, what a hoot. Some of the what if questions from little Johnny are simply hilarious! Again thanks for helping pass our heritage to the next generation!Ran a group for of people through a Hunter safety field day yesterday. Had a full class of 25 sign up and had 7 no shows!! Granted it was hot (low 90’s) but it wasn’t that bad.
I watched James Reeve's explanation of how/why the 320 got chosen. He's pretty funny while being serious. Some good tidbits in there on reliability and costs.320 debacle update. I am down to these top three choices. The Walther plant is literally a hour away so it is sitting at number one! Second and third are literally dead heat even. Quite honestly it is a dead heat across all three. We will see. Plan “A” is to remain with 320 for duty pistol, but that decision is the Chiefs and he don’t care about lil ole me!

Ever read the book or listen to the guy who wrote the story of Glock? My wife was the CFO for an affluent city in Metro-Detroit [for 37 years]. I worked there for a short stretch, as well.
It was interesting to see how things were budgeted in the Public Safety dept. In the short time I was there, they went from SIG-220's in 45, to Glocks.
It was more about capacity, than anything....but somehow Glocks were chosen. Gee...I wonder why? I HATE striker-fired pistols.

Paul Barret.
This was actually a pretty good interview considering the author is a business reporter and the interviewer is not a gun person. There's a transcript if you dont want to listen
I forget what got me to check Reeve's now and then but his interview about the shooting of Rust was really insightful, and his trespassing one is a new favorite of mine. Some good info in there for sure! Thanks Matt!
