They offer all kinds of stuff for the Ruger 10/22s there is no end to it. Clearly a testimonial to the popularity of the rifle. They are cheap and reliable. Mine gets used pretty regularly and is in the rain as often as not. It is bone stock and looks just like it did in the box! For me there was just no need to gussy it up! Throw a scope on it, bungee it to the luggage rack on front of four wheeler and let er go! Poor thing gets bounced to kingdom come most every day, wonder it still shoots!
I just picked this up on the cheep, red fluffy liner is still in it, I have no use for it, remind me when I see you again that I need to send it with you, 5 bucks, I couldn't let it set for 5 bucks when I seen it, it is one of these you see in the picture

Here's a 10/22 take-down I built. The only Ruger part is the suppressed barrel assembly. I waited 14 months for ATF approval. I have an aftermarket standard barrel for it, also. I only built the standard barreled front-half, because of the approval wait. I adjusted the scope for 50 yards....indoors. I'll re-adjust when I get it outside, for 100 yards. It was built for `yotes on our property. They decimated our wildlife.

Well, no school for the kids today due to the ice storm, and it was too nasty outside to do anything, so we set up a shooting lane in the garage. The kids got to put ~150 rounds through their Red Ryder lever action carbine bb gun.

Used an old box for a bb trap, put a bunch of cardboard on the inside, it worked perfectly. I hung a few pieces around it too, just in case they missed, we didn't want any ricochet.

My 7 year old shooting standing and my 9 year old wanted to shoot prone. They did great, all of their shots were within about an 8" circle, not bad for their first time.

For Yotes, how do you feel about 17mm rifle John ?
Can't say who, but he slaughters deer with his 17mm, feeds the nursing home in his area up in Missouri.

.17's are great for coyotes within thier operating range, especially if you want to minimize pelt damage. The bullets typically won't exit. I've got a 17-222 on a Sako L461 and it is like a laser beam out to 250-300 yards on the ground squirrels. The wind can be a PITA with those little bullets and small targets way out there though. Only took one medium yote with it but it was bang-flop.
