I had a hole bunch of fun today! Got the engine in with some family and friends helping me out. Been a long time just screwing around and getting things done. She went right in with no problems and no damage. Even with the right shock tower beaten in getting the valve cover on and off is a tight fit! 336D8AF9-B4F3-4607-8FFB-AAE9F604AF42.jpeg D8C1BD88-83A4-4BCF-8EEE-68D2E45042C6.jpeg CF937ED0-D7FC-4CDE-ACB3-90F290BAB975.jpeg E84E9120-D6EC-4886-BCF4-4D8A92CE9A75.jpeg 95E19921-97E1-49FA-9FD9-89C0AD0B8E6B.jpeg

Took a few step forward and a step back today. Got the shifter and rods in and adjusted. While I was putting in the Z bar the repop pivot bracket just fell apart in my hands. Looking at the assembly some ding dong that apparently does not know how to plug weld has a job making these. No penetration at all on the pivot. 66DBBCD1-17A1-4A8E-B50E-9E5BA3079B09.jpeg

It’s been a while since I have posted anything about my cars so here goes. The Barracuda is 95% done. I have some tuning to do but for the most of it she is done. This was the first time I got the two side by side and for me the wait was worth it. 40CC79A0-7B8E-4B97-B97B-B01239AE2C38.jpeg DFE84D80-8FD5-42EE-844B-B8740B00ACD0.jpeg D10A5DB8-A1F5-4632-8183-D4BDA8EAE5A0.jpeg 46AD8D3F-55B9-425B-BC29-A19D5D1C67C0.jpeg CD30E6D1-20EE-4655-898A-3D5044D7A85F.jpeg 6BFDE5AA-33CC-4987-BC98-E9677B3F0F50.jpeg 40CC79A0-7B8E-4B97-B97B-B01239AE2C38.jpeg DFE84D80-8FD5-42EE-844B-B8740B00ACD0.jpeg D10A5DB8-A1F5-4632-8183-D4BDA8EAE5A0.jpeg 46AD8D3F-55B9-425B-BC29-A19D5D1C67C0.jpeg CD30E6D1-20EE-4655-898A-3D5044D7A85F.jpeg 6BFDE5AA-33CC-4987-BC98-E9677B3F0F50.jpeg

Cool cars, words just don't justify how badass this is!
What I see here is a lot of work, sacrifice, and money.
Cudos to you, and thanks for posting!

I would love to know where you got these air cleaners?
Where they off the shelf or did you make them? Thanks

                            Yes, 1487.

A funny fact is there were several parts used on these cars that were purchased from a local speed shop. The hood pins were a “MR Gasket” cheep hood pin kit that is still sold today.
