Im looking for one of those handheld air compressors to pump up tires. I would like to charge it with a cigarette light/usb situation. The tough part seems to be the usb charging.

any ideas?

Thanks FABO!!

Used to be able to get them in nearly any auto parts store, maybe Horror Freight?
I need to spend another $35 to get free shipping from summit. After I posted here I searched "usb portable air pump" and got better results. Tech challenged for sure......funny what a guy will do to save $12

wish they'd put the dimensions of the thing......spendy

I personally have a Viair 88p in my jeep. It's 12v but it hooks up directly to your battery, not the cig lighter. I have never had any luck with the battery operated, or cig lighter operated compressors but the 88p is great. I've used it to pump up my 33 inch tall jeep tires after a day of offroading and I'm done in less than 10 minutes
It's about 90 bucks on summit, I think I got it for less on Amazon a few years ago

Looks good!!

I almost pulled the trigger on a cheapo $36 one but took your advice.

Thanks a ton. just needed a little guidance.

Don't get one that pulls power through a usb port. They cannot handle the amps or it will be a very weak pump. Any slime brand should be ok. I keep one in each car with tire plugs, side cutters, and cables.
