I was all set with large bolt pattern 5 x 4.5 rally wheels, Wilwood front discs - until I discovered the center hole of the rally wheel doesn't quite fit over the spindle hub. If the hole on the rally wheels was opened up just a bit, say 0.125 inch diameter to clear the radius at the base of the taper on the spindle hub, the wheel would seat nicely .

I ended up buying American Racing wheels and I'm happy... but my question is for my next project.

Has anybody opened up the center hole on rally wheels so they fit on Wilwood front (spindles corrected) hubs?

(It would only require a tiny bit of grinding...)

You mean the hub, not the spindle, right?
The large diameter hub has always been the knock on the Wilwood kits. For those wanting to use Wilwood calipers with stock wheels, a solution is to use stock drum brake steering knuckles with calipers adapters sold by Dr. Diff for that purpose.

*Edit: my mistake. Dr. Diff's Wilwood kits are meant to be used with the 1973 and later disc brake knuckles. The drum knuckle caliper adapters are for Viper calipers.

Honestly, I wouldn't mess with the center holes on the rally rims.
I'd turn down the hub register on the Wilwoods to the Mopar size.
