Gen III Hemi installs can benefit from this Milodon Oil Pan mod which
allows you to move the steering rack back to optimize steering geometry.

Performed by inserting a 2-1/2 O.D. piece of exhaust tubing, you can
use this method to create the desired clearance on this oil pan application
in your home shop or at your local fabricator.

Denny will be happy to have your pan modified or he can supply a brand
new Milodon pan already modified for $130.00 + the cost of the pan.

HDK Poly Spool Mounts made exclusively for HDK by Schumacher Creative
Services allow the installation of any Mopar V8 in your vehicle except for
Gen I Hemi and Poly 318 so that future engine upgrades do not require
replacement of the K-member.

Additionally, Addco makes dedicated sway bars for the HDK (not pictured).

You need to offer some kind of isolator for these. Aluminum against steel in this area will eventually cause problems.

Good tip I'm sure, and that is up to the installer. Perhaps a nylon washer.

HDK is simply providing information where the spacers can be purchased (Fabworx).
 
Wonder if I ask nicely if Denny would ship me a set of those ride height simulators?
 
This is a RH steer setup for our mates down under which utilizes an Omni
steering rack. This one is destined for an Australian Valiant station wagon.


 
for those interested the basic package NOW includes.

fully tigg welded K-frame and componants including...

chromoly upper and lower control arms
4 Moog K772 ball joints (optional QA1 1" extended available for uppers only)
chromoly support hoops
upper shock mounts
three position ride height simulators
sway bar mounts (can be deleted)
HDK / Schumacher poly mounts of motor choice
Energy Suspension lower control arm bump stops
Energy Suspension adjustable upper control arm bump stops
Energy Suspension upper and lower ball joint dust covers
poly bushings, sleeves, spacers, and bolts for rack and pinion mount
Fat Man Gen II tie rod ends.
All hardware for above INCLUDED.

To ease installation, the K-frame comes out of the box assembled with the lower control arms, poly ends, jam nuts, ball joints, and shock bolts installed. The upper control arms are sub-assembled with ball joints, poly ends, and jam nuts.

A) rack and pinion....................manual or power
B) spindles..............................Wilwood Pro 2" drop or standard Mustang II 2" drop
C) brakes...............................almost any Mustang II brake package that your rims allow
D) steering shaft, universals......choice of steel, stainless steel ($), or polished stainless steel ($$)
E) coil overs...........................the (included) ride height simulators allow you to visualize your desired stance and purchase the optimum shock for your ride.

Denny is this the package you shipped to me last week? The longer upper ball joint would be for what?

yes Vick .....and I think the one pictured is actually yours, the pictures were taken a couple weeks ago.

The 1" extended ball joint assembly raises the pivot point of the upper ball joint which in turn will lower the instant center. I use this on cars that maintain the stock ride height. For a car with a lowered stance / ride height, the factory mount that attaches the upper arm is essentially lowered....accomplishing the same thing (angle of upper control arm).

I do not have my notes with me...but I was thinking you were after a slightly lower than stock stance...right?
