I finally got my 340 shimmed so the Dougs headers don't touch the driver's side torsion bar. The most clearance I can get is about 3/16." Is this enough clearance or should pull the header and dimple it??? I will have a solid drivers side motor mount on the engine if that matter.

It depends on your engine mounts and if you have a torque strap. I have really tight clearance with my TTi headers at both the torsion bar and clutch linkage and have never had the headers hit (see pic below). But I'm using Schumacher Creative Services poly spool mounts (I have a 73 K-frame) and their torque strap.

Thanks. How much clearance would you say you have? I've got about 3/16". Hopefully that'll be enough with a limiter

That's about the same clearance I have at the torsion bar. The torque strap from Schumacher Creative Services controls engine movement in both directions (accel and decel), and with the poly bushings it does not cause vibration. I've got over 7,000 miles on the Demon using this set.
