Hello everyone! My name is Keegan, 18 years old and I'm from Detroit but live in Chicago. I joined this forum because first of all, I recently put a deposit down on my first Mopar which I will be getting very soon, and second of all, my dad, A.K.A. krazykuda who is a gold member on FABO, got me into the forum as well. Thanks to him for catching his eye on this clean 1968 Valiant Signet for sale, which will soon be my very first old school Mopar. :)

I had been looking for a nice, clean old Mopar for the longest time and did not have very good luck at finding one. Due to living in the Midwest, coming across a clean Mopar at a reasonable price is a difficult find. Many of them are very rusty (due to the terrible Winters here) and need a good amount of body work. I envy you people who live in the South and get to come across these rust-free Mopars like crazy lol.

I almost gave up on looking for one up here since there was nothing clean that I was looking for, so I ended up buying an old school import car, a 1986 Nissan 300ZX. I wanted a little fun project car that was quick, so I ended up with an import. My dad was not very excited about that car too lol. I did some work to it and put a mean sounding custom exhaust on it and got my fun out of it, but now it's time to sell it and buy this old Plymouth that I have always wanted. :prayer:

I'm pretty open minded about cars too. I drive a stick shift 1997 Volkswagen Jetta (4 cylinder) for my daily driver. I also really like motorcycles, but not like the Harley-Davidson bikes too much, I mean the vintage Enduros (which is basically a street-legal dirt bike). I have a 1974 Yamaha DT175, which is a blast to ride around (it has a 2-stroke engine). Anything mechanical and old school is intriguing to me. I can do basic mechanical things too, nothing too crazy, but I'm still learning. I can build desktop computers which is one hobbies, along with working on cars and motorcycles. I absolutely love old Mopars and will pick one over any other car, but I do admire classic Datsuns/Nissans and Volkswagens too, since they all have cool, unique cars. That's pretty much what I like and do, so I'm always down to talk about any of those things!

Anyway getting back to Mopar talk, I will post up pictures of the 1968 Plymouth Valiant Signet. It's originally a 225 slant six car with a 3-speed automatic. I'm getting it with a running 1967 slant six engine and a black hood (the owner is keeping the white hood for another Valiant). I will get better, more recent pictures of it when I get it. This is is clean inside and out! :)

Well I think I have said enough now lol. I will also post pictures of my old Nissan that I'm selling and my other so called "toys" I have. I'm pretty excited to be here on the FABO forum, where I'm hoping to meet some awesome people and learn more about these A body Mopars. :glasses7:

Welcome Keegan. Nice Valiant.
So, Krazykuda is your pop, huh? Who'd a thunk it? :)poke:Karl)

Welcome to FABO... :D

I finally got you on... :blob:

Here's a 360 engine that I let him take over, that we tore down almost two years ago...

Now we can put it back up on the priority list and start getting it ready to build...

The plan is to eventually swap it into the 68 Valiant, along with a 727 trans and 8 3/4" axle. Then go through the front and rear suspension.
