I have a 1964 Valiant with 9 inch drums that I am upgrading to discs upfront.

The original kit I was looking at was this one (part # 140-11022). http://wilwood.com/BrakeKits/BrakeK...del=Valiant&option=9"+Inch+Drum+Brake+Spindle

A member on this board graciously offered me a new Wilwood kit for a great price. It is the previous version ( part number 140-2722-B)http://wilwood.com/BrakeKits/BrakeKitsProdFront.aspx?itemno=140-2722-B

The main differences in the kit is the 11 vs 10.75 inch rotors and a hub offset of 0.38 vs 0.08.

The car runs fenderwell headers I do rub against them so turning radius is limiting. I have 15 inch skinnies in front. Center hub has 3.16 clearance. It is a low 11 second street car that I am preparing to pass provincial inspection to get it street legal. Yes....I am changing the exhaust.

Question - will I notice a big difference between these two kits? Big difference in the two rotor sizes? Is a 0.38 offset to large?

I would save over $300 purchasing the kit from the FABO member.

Thoughts on these two kits?

Here is the car.
