Just spent 4 hours cramped up under my Dash on the 64 Dart vert. Changed out the HL switch so that's fix. Real problem is figuring out the dash lights. Never worked since we put the car back together. I have several wires hanging, one is orange it comes from the push button so I know that's for the lights. Make matters worse my dear wife put my service manual away somewhere and we can't find it. Anyone have a wiring diagram for the 64 Dart dash

Part of the problem may be the "trick." Probe the tan wire coming out of the headlight switch. This should be power for the instrument lights with the switch in "park" or "head" AND the dimmer twisted to the left for full bright

The trick is.....

THIS TAN wire then goes to the fuse panel, through the instrument lamp fuse, and then changes to orange where it feeds off to all panel lamps

Wiring diagrams "such as they are" over at "My Mopar"

Yup, could be a number of things. Fuse......light switch.....bulbs......circuit board.... bad connection(s), etc.

I have several wires under the dash that are not connested. There seems to be several orange and several tan wires. I need to check the wiring diagram

Please keep us updated with your situation. I'm sure there are others here who are dealing with the same problem.
When I got my Dart, the wiring was so butchered I had to work on it for over a week just to pass the state inspection.
