Hello,

I live in Lima, Peru. We have a lot of old school american muscle cars from back in the day. Hell my best friend has a 69 mach 1 with the 351W....Anyhow, my neighbor has a Dodge Dart GT and I am trying to find out more about the car and see if it is worth buying....the VIN is LH23F08171106 and the Motor number is: 8M31810290258. I would greatly appreciate if someone could help out, here is a pic of the car.

Thank you very much!
Saludos,
Javier

Welcome Javier!! Well looks worth buying to me What do you wanna know? It depend on price and what you wanna do to it Need more info

That thing has kool written all over it. If you can afford it then why worry about it's value here in the states? If you like it grab it up :)

Great looking car with lots of potential. Who cares what it's worth here? Don't know what sort of engine/trans it has, but offer him a low amount & see if he goes for it. You can always raise your offer. What shape is the body in, rust-wise?

I say, if you have the money and you like the car, it's worth every penny you pay.....
Oh and welcome

Welcome to FABO! It's a '70 Dart Swinger (or export version of that). They didn't use the F enging code in 1970 here in the U.S. but in '69 it was a 318 engine so maybe they carried it over on your S.A. built model. Get the numbers off the fender tag and we'll see what we can come up with for original options. Prices range all over the place here depending on condition and options. Like all used cars, check for rust and mechanical problems. Parts are probably a little harder to find down there so figure shipping them from here will quadruple the cost.

Very cool car. Not sure what A bodies go for where you are. If you get it for a good price I am sure you will get lots of info from the members on this site to help guide you. Good luck

Hi Javier

Here's a little information that may help you ID the car.

VIN = LH23F08171106

L = Dart (Car Line)
H = High (Class)
23= 2 Dr HT (Body)
F = 318? (Engine, but F is not listed)
0 = 1970 (Year)
8 = ? Should be a letter for U.S. (Assembly Plant)
171106 = Serial Number

Regarding the engine ID 8M31810290258

Here's some information on engine ID numbers:

Nice car if you can get it for a good price.

Good Luck,
