So, I want to add footwell lighting to my 68 Barracuda.
It is an automatic with a center console.
Although technically "wrong", I want to mod in the footwell lights that B bodies had. Like these...

But all I can find are the bezels! ?
I cant find the sockets or the correct bulbs.
Anybody know the missing pieces?

Jeff

I can check the bulb numbers shortly. I am considering using a more flat housing to mount on my kick panels. I will take a picture shortly

I think you could use generic tail light sockets. Any good parts store should have an assortment.
Well, it needs to "pop into" the chrome bezels, but FBBO pointed me to an Ebay link for the exact right part....
Gonna "look" original unless you really know yer Mopars!

they are large in diameter. Will take up most of the height of the exposed top fiberglass strip area. I’d think you’d have to mount them in the lower carpeted area of the console to get angle you’d too. Just an idea.

Also, Factory a-bodies with light group had passenger map light turn on with the door switch.

You could add a 2nd bulb housing to the drivers side pretty easily.

I just found some from a Buick on ebay and added them under the dash on each side. They work good.

The factory Map lamp set-up is great in my car!

No need for more lighting IMO!

I agree with Post #6, Only even the driver side is just fine for bad eyes!
