where do I put an ad up for parts I have for sale. how do I do that?

Go to "Forums" menu, then scroll down to the for sale section. Choose the category you want to list in and you're there.

No harm, no foul. I didn't know much about forums when I came here either. This is a big place and can be confusing to a beginner.

A little advice for the future. Avoid using "help" for a thread title. Put something down that means what you are looking for. AKA Where to post classifieds ad? etc
