I'm looking for some on-line color photos of the original Hurst Hemi Under Glass. Everything I've found is of the '66 & later ones, but I'm sure there was one based on the '64-'65 body style.

I found a rear 3/4 view in this photo of a model box. I'm still loking for a front or front 3/4 view. I'm trying to get some ideas for a paint scheme.

Thanks, guys, particularly FASTBACK340. There were a couple of black & white photos that will help a lot. Unfortunately, every color photo I've found so far has been of the '66 & later cars. I'd appreciate any more that anybody comes across.

Mike, that is also a 66, A 65 will have a more rounded fender and a round section on the tail lights

Yeah Memike, that last one is a '65. I can't seem to find any good pics of the front. I guess it must've gone by so fast the photographers could only get a shot of the back.

Yup, tough photos to find. I too have searched for the original photos. I once found them at http://frozen.icom.com/ but that site, once called "The official hemi under glass website" is now a dead link.

I'm sure I have some photos somewhere on my hard drive, but I can't seem to find them......

This one is colour? The car was originally a '65 then remodelled with new sheetmetal into a '66 in 1966. In 1967 they made a new one, updated it in '68 then a new one again in 1969. Anyhow, the '66 Hemi Under Glass that is so photographed is a recreation made by Bob Riggle.

65s. Alright, dude. I've been trying to see how they handled the split between the top & bottom colors where it wraps around the front of the fender. That last photo is the best view I've seen yet of the front end. Thanks! I tried the "Official Hemi Under Glass" site & found it dead also. I thought there might be some old promotional photos or something at the Hurst website, but didn't see anything. I'm going to try to find my copy of that special Mopar historical magazine that came out a few months ago. Put out by Hot Rod or somebody like that. Maybe it has something.

65s, That last picture didn't come up before I made my last post. That is probably the best color picture I'll ever get. Unfortunately, the one part I wanted to see most is blocked by a sign on the top of the tree. But the color picture, along with the second black & white pic shows me what I wanted to see. Can't thank you guys enough!

It would be cool to recreate a '65 Hemi Under Glass. As far as I'm concerned, the '67-69 version just isn't very cool.

Wish I had the money to do a Hemi Under Glass! The reason I wanted pics was so I could figure out how they handled the color split in the two tone paint job from the side, around the top of the front of the fenders & across the hood, etc. I'm thinking about painting my car gold with the top part a deep brown with a gold metallic. Still not sure about the bottom 8" or so of the car. The H.U.G. used the dark color there too. I'm still just playing with ideas.
