Relatively new-to-me '67 Barracuda 383. Noticed during the first portion of my drive this morning a much higher than normal oil pressure reading. Only a couple of ticks away from the H. Normally runs rock solid right in the middle. Went back to normal after about 5-10 miles. Incidentally I replaced the mechanical voltage regulator with a solid state yesterday. No reason to assume that is related, but can't hurt to mention. Should I be concerned?

Not yet. what you are seeing now is common/typical so could be more accurate than what you were seeing with the mechanical limiter.

Remove the wire from the oil pressure sender and measure between the wire and the engine block. It should read 5vdc, if not you got a bad regulator, if Ok then gauge or sender is not accurate.
