Does anyone have any design considerations or input on this type of a piston? How thick the top should be, how far down the ring pack should be etc? Are there any off the shelf pistons that are of a high quench reverse dome design that are proven?

I'm looking to upgrade my 408" stroker Magnum with a forged crank and lower compression pistons in preparation for a belt driven, inter-cooled centrifugal blower. It will be a pump gas motor with less than 10 psi boost.

I agree with yellow rose on this one. I would think you would want to stay away from a quench design and try and keep the burn pattern as equal as possible across the piston top to avoid stressing one area of the piston.

I agree on no quench. I would always go lowest compression possible with any induction blower or turbo. Icon pistons are good as well as diamond. Depends on budget. I shot for about 8 to 1. You always say I want 7-10psi and before you know it your at 14psi haha
