Hey all, So this is a buildup i started early January.
list of car specifications as delivered to me:

Original slant 6 car converted to 340 4-speed car
battery relocation - homemade
ebay headers
ebay carb
procomp aluminum heads
procomp 1.6 roller rockers
comp cams xe285hl
Super victor 340 intake
homemade 7qt oil pan
vaccum pump for brake booster
73+ disk brake upgrade
/6 torsion bars
super stock leaf springs
Dana 60 with strange 35 spline axles
15" draglite wheels

I purchased the car early October, was the typical story. looked like a good solid car when i purchased it. Within a few weeks of owning it issues started appearing. First i was having major oil leaks, all over the ebay headers down to the trans. The rear was leaking badly as well. this was what started me getting into things, the more you pull the covers down, the more surprises you find. Dont have alot of the before pics, my phone crashed an i lost all my early pics of the car. anyways, just going to catalog the what i have found and what i have done with the car since driving it 4 or 5 times and decided i need to start getting dirty.

car had a battery relocation to the trunk, a home made metal enclosure that you could not remove the battery from without grounding it out. here is the positive wire ran against the rear leafspring.

purchased the summit reloc kit and re-ran and wired the cables. (no pics yet :p)

Im wanting more of a pro-touring look so the super stock springs had to go, while i was at it i decided to just redo the entire suspension, the only thing that stayed was the disk brake upgrade.

Rear suspension upgrades consist of:
Hotchkis rear leafs
dr diff offset hangers
Hellwig rear sway bar
fancy Strange diff cover...lol
QA1 single adjustable shocks

Font suspension upgrades consist of:
QA1 tubular LCA's
QA1 Dynamic strut bars
QA1 Single adjustable shocks
PST Tubular UCA's
PST tie rod
PST 1.03 torsion bars (make sure they dont send you 2 left side torsion bars..LMAO)
Hellwig FSB
Painted the disk brake kit stuff

(not a completely assembled pic, but you get the idea)

So next to address the leaks.
digging into it i found 2 major spots for oil leaks, first the 90* oil filter adapter had 0 gaskets on it (thanks alot......) and the custom welded oil pan was warped and wasn't sealing in the rear. In the process of replacing the oil pan i found that 3 bolt holes were stripped into the block and one hole had weld in it. the 3 stripped bolt holes i was able to get a longer bolt to thread in (shew....). Atleast for me, installing this oil pan was 10x harder then the headers!!!

Now to address the "performance issues". Car was not running right, wouldn't idle at anything below 1100 rpm's without stalling out. Made adjustments to the carb without much success, removed the carb to find it was badly in need of a rebuild, found oil fowled spark plugs and a pcv valve that had tubing sealed inside to block any flow. instead of rebuilding i opted to upgrade a few things:

FiTech GoEFI 1200
TTi 1 7/8 ceramic coated headers (i know, too big for my current setup, but plan to go stroker)
TTi 3" exhaust
Tanks INC EFI fuel tank
aeromotive 340lph fuel pump

TanksINC close up if anyone is interested in what they look like inside:

So there it stands now, sorry not real exterior pics yet, once i get it back out and running it will be all cleaned up and ready for pics.

its getting close, right now i have to run some wire to the fuel pump, wire up the fitech (Easy peasy). connect and secure the fuel lines. then should be ready to start.

next post will be what was delivered today :)

some new toys came today!

this is the first time the car has been off the jackstands so the rear should drop a bit. they are LT-III wheels, fronts are 18x9.5 with 245/40's, rears are 18x10s with 285/40's. I have to send a personal thanks to 72Blunblu, he helped me tons with the suspension and the wheels. Thanks man!!

comming next, Braum...........

been a while since ive updated, put a hole in the radiator because of carelesness so i had to replace the rad, decided to get a cold case radiator which so far i am happy with the quality of this radiator. Also replaced the alternator with a power master 140.

here is a shot of both installed. I did a full write up of the cold-case and put it in the cooling forum if any are interested.
