Established in 2009 as a result of the philanthropic collector car hobby efforts of Hagerty Insurance, the HVA is committed to celebrating and advancing our automotive heritage and protecting and preserving its place within contemporary culture.
The HVA is the National FIVA Authority in North America. Appointed by the Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens (FIVA) in 2009, the HVA is part of this worldwide organization dedicated to keeping Yesterdays Vehicles on Tomorrows Roads. FIVA has represented the interests of collector-car owners since 1966, and today includes 1.5 million enthusiasts in 62 countries.
Despite the millions of collector car enthusiasts in North America, until now there has never been a single unifying group in North America dedicated to the protection, promotion, and preservation of these vehicles and the interests of their owners.
