This carb was on a 383 B-body I recently purchased. I'm more into cruiser type cars, not a racer, so I soon replaced it with a Carter 4 barrel.
It's obvious to me it has not seen many miles and looks almost new. (Except for the carbon) I probably put 30 miles on it and it was very responsive. The car was always stored indoors, with Sta-bil) and was equipped with a manual choke cable and it works fine. It was running pig rich but I did not get into it at all because I have no Holley tuning parts but lots of Carter stuff. I just exchanged it a month ago.
