I pulled the Edelbrock carb off my 318 that has a 1970 340 spread bore intake. The adapter was the simplest flat steel one they make. I didn’t look to see if the throttle blades were not opening all the way, but now I been trying to find an adapter that is what I’m trying to avoid now.

Will a carb spacer raise the Holley 670 to avoid this?

I purchased a Edelbrock aluminum spread bore adapter on eBay that was a fail. It’s the one with the 4 angled holes. I should have found the one with the big open middle at least I think so.

Any help will be appreciated.

That's not considered a spread bore intake. Throw us a bone here. What carburetor are you trying to bolt on?

"Holley 670", guessing Street Avenger.....
Oh some junk then. I missed that somehow. Thanks. Why do people make things so difficult? Just put a danged Carter style carburetor on there like the factory used. An Edelbrock AVS comes to mind.

Provide pics of the adapter carb and visible issues, so I can tell you how to screw things up.
