Clean the top of the relay there should be markings
B = batt (starter relay in 67)
S = switch
H = horn

i thought the green wire was from Batt a ccording to manual?

manual said green wire Batt pic shows the purple wire on B terminal?

My '67 has the power for the horn relay direct from the alternator. '67 horn relay is next to the radiator. So it makes sense for that arrangement. I've seen that on some other years/models too.

For '70 it looks like the color for the power to relay stayed the same, violet, but it comes from the main splice.
The main splice gets power from either the alternator or the battery (wires R6 and R6a).
H2 is the green with red stripe wire which provides the power to the horns.

The name 'ground' is like the name 'battery', it doesn't go directly to ground. This wire goes to to the horn switch via the column connector.

My colored classiccarwiring.com wiring diag shows that too.

I originally was looking in the FSM and may have looked at a schematic for a charger or the other car it covers.

Yes those are the colors im dealing with Thank you Mattax for the schematic:thumbsup::thankyou:

FSM diagram shows black insulation, your photos and Alskan's show black with white trace. Even factory diagrams sometimes have mistakes or miss changes.
if you need those terminals and housings like alaskan shows, they shouldn't be too hard to find. Those look like ones I've seen made for packard 58, 56, and AMP terminals.
