It IS an option. It is NOT the best way. Yours are balanced properly.I didn’t know that was an option.
I didn’t like the look of them either!

Old t/a's can pass for large hockey pucks. My buddy went to the dragstrip with T/A's and they laughed at him.
I had shop.balance mine with weights on inside of rim. No vibrations at highway speeds and no ugly weights to look at.I didn’t know that was an option.

Not a thing in the world wrong with static balancing if it's done correctly.I had shop.balance mine with weights on inside of rim. No vibrations at highway speeds and no ugly weights to look at.

Better than dynamic if you ask me, if you can get the weights to stick. Like you said , "properly" Sometimes caliper clearance can be an issue. Not a thing in the world wrong with static balancing if it's done correctly.
Shop hammered the standard style lead weights on outer edge of inner rim.Better than dynamic if you ask me, if you can get the weights to stick. Like you said , "properly" Sometimes caliper clearance can be an issue.
I cannot STAND stick on weights. I always static balanced them on the inside lip using standard clip on weights. Works fine.Better than dynamic if you ask me, if you can get the weights to stick. Like you said , "properly" Sometimes caliper clearance can be an issue.
Guy who mounted balanced tires is a one man shop with a big garage with equipment in his back yard. And yes he did mention static balancing. Car has never been as smooth on the highway as it is now. And best part not a single blemish in the freshly painted body color wheels. Not a thing in the world wrong with static balancing if it's done correctly.
