Wow!! This brings back some great memories
As some of you know we had a VERYbad ice storm here a couple years ago and..... well... The old hard on tree hit the ground.
The rancher moved it to a big pile of wind fall and was burnt.
But will always be remembered here and I did send a picture of the Mouton Lion tracks to him along with a picture of this tree

looks like some kind of palm tree, and those are prop roots, kind of like the prop roots on a corn stock. they help keep it from blowing over.
