I'm curious as to how many Dart Swingers were made with a sunroof. I want to know if I have a rare car or not. I've googled it and have searched pages trying to find any info on it with no luck. Any help is appreciated!

I'm interested to know if there is a confirmed number. Just a guess but I think the sunroof option was pretty rare, especially in the two door hardtop body. My guess would be less than 10% of total production??

Do you have pictures of the sunroof? A lot of aftermarket sunroofs were grafted in over the years, might not even be original.

If it is original, it would probably make it a somewhat "rare" car, in that it probably wasn't a popular option. But, don't mistake rare with valuable. On a '75 swinger it's not going to do much, if anything, for resale value. And I doubt if there's an official number, very little info is out there regarding production #'s on specific options.

thanks for the info. Yes it is a factory sunroof car. I checked the fender tag it's there the option code. I'm in Louisiana I've never seen another one around here. It's a 318 automatic car. I'm in the process of doing a restoration on it. I'll see if I can upload a picture for it. Should be a nice weekend cruiser when I'm finished.

Nice! I don't recall having seen a factory sunroof Dart. Of any year actually. I've seen Dusters, Demons, and Dart sports with them, but not Swingers.

Looking at the dealership data books on http://www.hamtramck-historical.com/index.shtml looks like it only became an option on the 2 door hardtop Dart's in 1973, before that it was limited to the Duster and Demon. So, it's only on 73+ hardtops. It probably is a pretty rare option for a Swinger, but being a 1975 I'm not sure that's really going to change much other than just having a cool option.
