How to clean oil pump

I have my oil pump taken apart. I've checked all the factory specs and am ready to put it back together with new seals. What's the best way to clean it?

gas and a brush.

I have cleaned what I could get to with diesel and a brush. But as I was scraping gaskets I'm sure I got some grit down inside the pump. I'm looking for how to flush out the insides. Just submerge it in diesel and shake it around?

You disassembled it? Yeah, just dunk it. There isn't much to it when it is all apart.
