Hey guys, Decided to go solid roller for my 390 stroker. Has anyone used these lifters for a street strip application? If these are junk then can someone point me in a direction. I do not want to cheap out but I am also not running a crazy cam. Probably something in the 250-260 dur @.050 and .600-650 lift.
They have a .750 wheel. I’d pass on them. It’s a Chrylser. It should have an .810 wheel. They are significantly more durable. Crane Ultra Pro’s or Crowers .8xx wheel lifter.
pm Dart19666 here on fabo works at Crower Mopar guy good guy pricing for fabo members HFT guys check out Crower's "lube saver" lifters
Ask a garage to buy them? Maybe a machine shop ? I like the fact that some rollers claim to be rebuildable until you attemp to buy the parts then it becomes a 'rebuilt by us" quote. Even link bars were back door buys with one time part numbers, as for "Bill"'--wink wink.(wasn't Crower).
I use them in my stroker Engine mine you my cam isn’t as aggressive, solid roller Comp Extreme series 236-242 @50 ,comp springs 914 no issues 470hp 518 Lbs torque. I don’t rev the shit out of it either as you don’t have to 5-5500 shifts . Mainly street driven no strip work. Have put on 8000 kilometres since built . Pick your poison !
I got my BAM lifters from Brian at IMM Engines located in Indio, California. He is a Mopar guy. Also as Rumblefish mentioned, Hughes sells them as well.
Call Bullet. Got cam on order and just went with the lifters they had (Morel) Solid roller 290/300 254/264 @ .050 .4176 lobe lift. .689 w/ 1.65 Going to be a sweet combo. Thanks everyone for the recommendations.
does crane have 1.65? remember the bad pushrod angles give some up mini cup or ball and ball pushrods? or to put it another way ball stud adjusters or cup adjusters? are you oiling through the pushrods?
I hadn't seen 1.65 rockers much at all. These are oil through rocker shaft style. And ball cup adjuster so they take ball-ball pushrods. I have the invoice from when they were purchased.
