AA84E269-7966-421F-BD1C-8715B8061ACF.jpeg Has anyone used one of these wilwood master cylinder for a hydraulic throw out bearing on a A body mopar? If so where did you locate it on the firewall? Was thinking of installing it where the mechanical linkage normally goes through the fire wall. This seems to be a long way from the clutch pedal, but guess it might work.

I mounted mine where the linkage would normally live. but you'll have to make room in the inner fender for it's length for R&R.

Nice work. Does your entire front clip come off from the car, or how did you get that last shot? Did that dimple affect your access to the upper control arm eccentric nut, or do you have an aftermarket front suspension?

Somebody, somewhere on here came up with an experimental bracket that mounted inline with the original pushrod hole in the firewall, and I don't think the cylinder they had required fender mods, but I might "be forgettin"

My front clip is mounted as stock,, front suspension is stock except for tubular uppers,, Access to control arm bolt is no problem except it must go in from the left. I cut the hole and welded a hammered out, cupped replacement piece to give clearance for the master with room for removal if needed..last shot is on the welding bench before the inner fender was installed.

Just installed this wilwood clutch master cylinder, with no issues. Didn’t have too make any additional room, it fit with about 1/4 inch of room between it and the inner fender. This was a nice surprise. Going to make a larger backing plate for more support on the inner firewall. Also will have to make a longer adjustable push rod.

I also had to make a longer pushrod as well. Otherwise the peddle would of been lower than the brake pedal

My peddles ended up even without extending the push rod. Do you think you'll be able to remove the master down the road if needed. That's the reason I made the clearance. I guess our adapter mounts are different lengths.

Where did you get your push rod set up, or did you make yours? The one that came with my kit, is not going to work.

What specific kit did you get? Do you know that it has enough stroke, etc?

Got my kit from sst, says it’s for a body mopar. Think it’s just a universal kit.

My peddles and hydraulics came from Keisler, I cant find a pic of the specific kit but you can see here how long the master push rod is, kinda.

buddy had a Tilton T/O setup on his 833 in a 65 A. Had to reinforce the firewall for the cylinder. We used a trans bell to block support from firewall to shock tower.

Pretty sure it is this slave unit. Summit racing part number 260-6089. Mine says 0750 on the side of it. That’s the bore size on this unit. Not sure where the adapter that’s mounts to the firewall. Give silver sport transmission a call, they will point you in the right direction. Good guys over there.
