I’d like to see some rare beaters that are driven.

A Ventch as we called 'um. My sister had a 75 2 door black on black.
Before that she had a Oldsmobile Omega 4 door with the Olds 350 4 bbl.
That car would burn tires for days. Super sleeper and way fast. But it looked like a grandma Olds.

I like the Olds Mega. Though I’m sure they get that, “Hey! Nice Nova!” crap a lot!

Restore it. You would have the only one around. I've never seen a Swinger with a 318 and a 4 speed. Red with white stripes. Yummy!

No stripe on the Swinger, and no vinyl top! I would think it was a lot of red, there was a body side molding though.

This pig is going to rack up some miles once I get the windshield put in. It's staying rough around the edges for the foreseeable future.

I’m pretty sure my Duster was originally a Twister but have no documentation to prove it. It is, however, ratty and my daily driver when it’s in one piece. (Hasn’t been since January)

It even got decorated this past year for Christmas! :D
I’ve done a lot with this car that I couldn’t/wouldn’t have done if it had nice paint. I love ratty drivers!!

IDK what kind of animal that is but it looks twice as tasty now that it’s on a hood. I bet it cooks up real well on the BBQ!:poke:

The Swingers(basic) came with all size motors(6 cyl - small blocks). The 340 Swinger were was a class of its own, without all the bells and whistles. The GT's were sporty, without the Hi-Po motors and the GTS's were the sporty, with the Hi-Po engines(340, 383 or 440). The 68' 426 Hemi's were a class of their own.

This one is weird because it has everything that a 340 Swinger would have, minus 22 cubic inches. 4-speed, 8 3/4 with 3.23 gears, R4 red/orange. Sorry the tag is reversed, the front isn’t to legible.

I have since then as it has been pointed out that I made a molotov cocktail by almost everyone I know.
Also, It is difficult to find a gas cap that fits since every parts store has those stupid plastic ones that screw in.

My buddy has been driving this since 1991, just like you see it. He says he can always restore it, it he has too much fun with it just like it is. I tend to agree.

Another buddy from high school brought his brothers high school car up town last night too, just like it left the factory. The cruise up town last night brought a lot of different cars out, and of course the regulars were there also.

Timeless road machine!! Brings back memories of my uncle Alex. Had the same 1970 Roadrunner. His was black on black 383 magnum 4 speed pistol grip. That car was a dream!! Another younger uncle took for some street cruising/ racing and in the process overreved the engine and out came 1 or 2 rods!! Later come to find out he sold it for $1000 as it sat!! how I wish I had been older to get my paws on it!!

'65 Plymouth Valiant Signet convertible I purchased from a lady in Port Angeles, Washington who had it as a kind of daily driver. Too rusty for someone like me to restore:

Well Pete, it’s got rust in the quarters, on the trunk lid, scratches on the paint, the engine bay is obviously in 51 year old condition, the seat in front is tattered, and I love every inch of it! I thought a beater meant that you beat on it, which I do quite often.

I work with Richard H. He joined us (TACC) for the 2019 Woodward Dream Cruise. Love the trailer hitch story! The other Superbird is a clone a friend built 20+ years ago.

Drive mine several times a week. If I'm not in the work truck, I am in some sort of a beater. This is my favorite beater though.
I was muchin a cheeseburger before a small concert in my little town last night and had 3 people stop and take pictures of the car and something like 8 people talking about it to me. And some kid that says he remembers me taking him and his brothers for a ride a few years ago (with their father's permission of course) .
Drove her home in the rain with no defrost.
                                Beaters rock!
