I'm in the process of installing 1973 steering linkage on my 69 Dart and noticed the idler arm that I have doesn't have a grease fitting on it. As far as I know, it is an original idler arm. Did they not put grease fittings on them originally? If not, should I do anything else to lubricate it?

Using a fine grease needle in the fitting on a grease gun, pump tacky EP grease between the boot down next to the stud. Try to get it into and next to the joint itself. Work the stud around to get as much on the ball as possible. Then fill the boot so it's firm to the touch, but not so it's about to burst.
Use at least a #2 or higher number, and warm it inside first. It's hard to pump cold grease through a needle.
