Which side would the leaf spring with 6 leafs be on, drivers or passenger ](*,)
On my e-body they put a half leaf on the torqued side.
He probably doesn't know what you mean, or he would not be asking ALWAYS the heavy stuff is on the passenger side. That's where the torque reaction affects the car, and why on cars without limited slip axles, they almost always spin the right rear first. (4x4's and front wheel drives try to spin the left front)
Thanks guys, I thought it was odd that the 6 leafs were on the drivers side and not the passenger side. To many people have messed with the Barracuda ](*,)
Depends on which spring pack it had. Sometimes they had equal amounts. It's all in the spring bias. In other words, how hard the spring is arched. Not all of them had unequal spring packs.
The springs are in our factory Commando 273 Barracuda 4 speed car. The springs loock original but the car has air shocks in it too.
Every A-body heavy duty spring pack (this does not include hemi cars) I have seen was the same right/left, including my old 66 Commando/4sp Barracuda, my 68 GTS, and the 67 Rallye Dart we parted out in the early 80s.
Same here, "67" 4 speed Formula S, "66" 4 speed Formula S, 68 Automatic Formula S. Six leaves, same part number embossed into the smallest leaf.
