The '74 Dart 4 dr hood I keep moving around in my garage just may turn into my '69 Cuda floor
I doubt that most people spend 24/7 worrying. Prepare and move forward. But mocking something that is serious enough that people are dying when others ARE concerned is rude etiquette/behavior.
Isn’t that the same sentiment @RustyRatRod said about the cheap Chinese chrome headers for SBM? Déjà vu
I never knew there is a special 4 door hood. lol there are plenty of Chevy hoods or your neighbors truck door. lol
We use Clorox to disinfect the goat barn. The price at the worthless Family Dollar store just tripled in 10 days!!!! No big $ deal, it just pisses me off though!!
There is a law against price gouging during emergencies or crisis.
yes, you cannot increase price more than 10% here in CA during crisis. Im not sure if its a bill or if its already passed.
Common flu kills 60K Americans a year. Covid-19 has killed 9. Not one mortality under 8 and IIRC there have been 2 under 18 years old worldwide. Falling off a ladder kills 300 a year in USA. Wash your hands often, dont touch your face and stay off ladders.
try to enforce that one..
"Anyone who has been the victim of price gouging, or who has information regarding potential price gouging, is encouraged to immediately file a complaint with the Attorney General's Office by going to the Attorney General's website or by calling (800) 952-5225" Many states have a unique state AG number to call.
Last night, the nat. news was discussing another cruise ship where the virus has been detected, off Ca. coast. It says, 21 confirmed cases, 19 among the crew, It goes on to say "no one has ANY idea where it me from"! I am no cruise kinda guy, but don't the passengers get off at various ports, and I bet the crew ( menial labor types) changes somewhat at every port. I also bet the crew that does change, is the lowest paid guys in the kitchen!?????? They have No idea!!!!! ha
My girlfriend works for a company who handles travel insurance for Visa.... Oh the panic is under full throttle with the virus.... JW
Always one jackass in the crowd to nitpick anything you say! GM parts in my Mopar? Blasphemy, sir. I wouldn't use the hood, it's in really great shape. Maybe someday I'll find a car to drive under it, or someone that needs it. I am going to scrap out my '01 Caravan soon though. Gonna cut off as much sheet metal as I can.
I'll let you get away with this just once, cheese head. LOL GO Packers !! My wife is usually the only one to call me a jackass. lol
Kudo's to you for marrying a wise woman
Damn right. Along those same lines, think of all of the idiots panicking about gravity and spend good money building railings! Lol. Losers. I've never fallen off of a balcony or down a flight of stairs. Nobody is saying that it's time for panic or mass hysteria...but could it just be that because people took these past threats seriously, disaster was avoided? I don't disagree that some perspective can be helpful in grounding us in how worried we should be. This virus is a little different. There is a clear call to action with this virus that if not taken seriously, will do damage to our way of life...and it looks like people are not able to take this seriously...so buckle your seatbelt. Yes, use that awful ceiling mounted shoulder strap too... 1) Virtually NOBODY (as far as we know) has immunity to this virus. It's brand new. If you're exposed, you'll get it. 2) Elderly people and people with underlying health conditions are vastly more vulnerable to serious illness requiring a respirator, intensive/supportive care and/or death. Almost everyone is or at least know/care about people who fit the categories of highly vulnerable people. 3) Our healthcare infrastructure is not equipped to handle the projected number of people requiring this level of care. Our government is not organized enough to rapidly build hospitals the way that China did. Our society in the USA is not likely to tolerate being ordered to self quarantine, meaning that we don't have the same tools that China has been using to slow the spread, meaning that it could be much more persistent here. 4) This is already having significant economic impact. Flights are being stopped, supply chains are being disrupted, there's uncertainty in the market that is already wiping away all of the growth that we've seen over the past couple of years.
^^^ Very true. I say the worst areas to be now at the beginning of this is, port cities where cruise ships have landed, and large cities where the airports do lots of international flights, or even cities like San Antonio, Tx where the govn't brings in people testing positive in, after couple weeks of testing and then turns some lose in the city because they then tested neg, only to retest them a few days later, and wow! they now test pos. again!!! First place they went to was the mall!! We live an hour North of Houston, 98% of the population here and further North drive into city every day for work. Here is just as bad as living in the city. Now is a good time to be wayyyyy out in rural N. Dakota!!??

When I finally got the nerve to buy the passenger side panel from AMD...its out of stock!!! So then I rationalized and said well getallparts has the 3/4 goodmark panels. So I placed an Order. Few hours later they sent me an email apologizing and canceled my order. I guess I missed the boat in ordering my sheet metal. Guess I’m shit out of luck damn it.
I bought sheet metal, etc., for my 67 vert project years ago. Never imagined their value would increase. Will trade for toilet paper? LOL
I feel a lot (hundreds of thousands) of elderly/senior citizens will die from this virus and their family will liquidate their assets to pay for funeral and medical costs. Not to mention, a lot of retirement funds have and will take a temporary loss, causing more cars/parts/toys to hit a slow market. Eventually, the classic car market, in my opinion will be saturated with parts and cars.
Well, a couple weeks later, life is upside down for anyone who wasn't already a shut-in. The economy is on fire, Northern Italy is a horror show and we're on the same exact exponential curve, just a couple weeks behind. Should you freak out? No. Dropping the sarcasm would make sense though.
