I've been trying to locate my first car. A 1968 dart gt. I bought it when I was in grade 9 for 175.00 and slowly fixed it up. Did a 340 727 83/4 swap although it had a 9 1/4 when I sold it. It was sold in the early 2000's so I could get some cash for school. It when to Sault ste Marie Ontario. From there it was sold into the detroit area. It was burgundy with the driver door and quarter painted black but was painted gold. I have talked to some people in Sault ste marie but they don't know who it sold to. Im interested in buying it back possibly or at least keep tabs on it. I do have the vin LP23D8B4082XX. any tips on trying to find it.?

Don't know about the Detroit area, but in California you can run the vin (with a lot of paperwork) thru the motor vehicles dept. to find out the owner/location.

Cost a few$$ and a good excuse why you want to contact the owner, but can be done.
