How did you run your tail pipes? Pictures would be great.
Done this many a time on B and E bodies where the fuel tank sits back further.
My first A body.

That's exactly why I want to stay away from the relocation ! I look forward to seeing some solutions maybe I will change my mind.

Used an A-body 2 1/2" exhaust kit from Jeg's and modified it. I ran the tail pipes thru the leaf springs from inside to outside and used a set of Cuda muffler hangers to hang the exhaust tips from.

looks like it's only a problem if you go 3" pipes and/or move the spring to the frame rail. 1/2" dr diff or equivalent w/ 2 1/2" pipes looks close but fits. i'll find out soon

I am going to have to deal with this soon with my mini tub situation. My plan is to make a stainless gas tank that is a bit narrower on the passenger side and run 2.5" pipes. I might have to take a little off stock on drivers side and run a heat shield here and there.

That looks very professional. Very tight, but very professional. Do you get any rattles at all?

No sir and thank you for the compliment. It just took some time and a mig to work out.

Just completed installation of the Summit 2 1/2" exhaust kit on my Dart Sport project. I have the Dr. Diff 1/2" relocation kit and the pipes fit fine. Just had to be sure the new gas tank was centered between the frame rails so I had room on each side to fit the pipes and have enough clearance to prevent any rattles.

My latest solution to mini tubbing. Cut the *** end off a B body tank and weld er up. I believe the pontiac gto tank straps I have will work.

Here it is strapped loosely into car. Should have plenty of room for exhaust. I think my spare tire solution might be a 4x4 air pump and a plug kit. Lord help me if I get a sidewall puncture. Still chasing some pin holes on my weld job, but it should seal up. Not sure how many gallons she holds.
