Indy360-1 cylinder head on LA intake manifold

I used to live very close to that shop. Good crew there @rumblefish360

They are the best I’ve found. They don’t mind talking to you on the phone and go out of their way to put kits together and whatever it is you need.

They serve the Long Island car community (and it’s HUGE!) for a very long time. They are VERY close to the (say Eye-slip) Islip train station.

Thank you but, your apology is not necessary.
Your diction, spelling and punctuation are excellent.
I just can’t read Japanese text. My aunt never taught me!

Your car looks very good. You might want to think about a fiberglass hood as not to cut into the OEM hood. I know this is probably very expensive. But how many hoods are in Japan?
Hood in the picture is fiberglass.
The original one is stored uncut.

Your intake ports can be smaller than your head intake ports and that's not going to be an issue if you can get the roof of the intake port to match the head port that would be good, but

absolutely not necessary. It will just create more air speed if the intake is smaller than the head. DO NOT cut the floor of intake port out trying to match the head.

Thank you for the information. I really want this project to succeed.

Sweeeeet! Excellent!
I'm very happy to be able to talk to such friendly people.
Thanks on behalf of the FABO forum.
We are all here to help and forward each other in their car hobby. This we all enjoy.
Below, @PROSTOCKTOM made a statement that addresses something I said above and it’s also a correction to a degree. To that I say thanks Tom, I’m behind that 100%. While I spoke in general terms he made a point of which I can not disagree on at all.
You can’t get angry on that!

100% on the floor. If you’re a pro porter, have at the port. If your a home porter, just the roof and sides will do great.

Sin, a smaller port is not a bad thing. (Within reason of course)
As Tom said, the increased velocity of a smaller port has a good side which results in a better throttle response. The higher velocity also helps atomize the fuel better and the intake design of a tunnel ram has a good straight shot to the head.

If you can’t get the port to match, it’s not a huge deal breaker.
It’s a minor thing not to worry about.
Do what you can without going crazy and all will be fine.

Such amazing car guys!
They blew away all my worries.
Thank you.

@sin and @rumblefish360 So I had a little time this afternoon to work on my engine. I installed the top of the tunnel ram and when I looked into the ports, I can see that my builder did in fact match the ports.
I haven’t had a chance to talk to him about it but, I see he epoxied the floor like rumble talked about.

It’s about 1/2” - 3/4” area. It’s hard to get a good photo but I think it will show.
