I took my shifter apart and cleaned it up today. The old grease had gotten hard in places and mostly gone in others, so I cleaned everything down to bare metal and coated everything with anti-seize before reassembly. Have any of you refurbished these before? It seems like the ant-seize might hold up better than grease in the long run. If you know of a better lubricant to use for this shifter please let me know.

Remove inland.

Throw it in the ditch.

A lot of guys badmouth these shifters. I never had trouble with it and it shifted smoothly. The Hurst may be of better quality, but I wouldn't say the Inland is of poor quality. Personal preference maybe?
