Is my compressor shot?

I made a head gasket for my Worthington compressor out of construction paper. The brown type then wiped it with oil and installed. Been 10 years now.
 
My gasket had to be super thin. It was the gasket between he reed valves. You can probably use real gasket material just get the right thickness.
 
Wow, parts are drying up. I'm interested in this as I have an old Sanborn that appears to have the same pump. I put a new valve plate and rings in it about ten years ago but this time around it looks like it's new pump time.
