Is this distributor pickup destroyed and what could have caused issues?

Oops, misspoke, didn't notice the pic of the pick up. Not sure, maybe Lean Burn?

What is weird is that the image on Mancini Racing website shows the arm of the cannister looking like the original that came off this distributor but flipped 180 if I orient it the same way as the picture.

The one on the left is for a points distributor. B/rb are a mirror image of LA/Slant

So in the image on my post #50, the location I called out where the pin inserts for NEW is actually the location if you are using a points distributor? And pin hole location OLD is for electronic ? Or is inner / outter hole creating limits in the advancement of the pickup due to pivot point ? This is the part number I found on the old canister, unfortunately I don't know what second or third number are because they got punched out for the mounting hole... If I'm using the inner pin hole location what is a part number for a replacement i must use for that one ?

Just FYI the vacuum canister I found that matched the original arm that installed to the inner pin hole on the vacuum advance plate was Standard Motor VC-189 from O'Reilly.

I had this happen because of a broken motor mount that caused the distributor to hit the firewall under harder throttle. Check your engine mounts for fatigue, and that they are tight!

That said, looks like there's more also wrong with the pickup sensor that needs to be addressed.
Edit: I didn't read the entire thread before my reply but I would definitely check your motor mounts before firing it up again!
